Situation Podagrosk

Posted by on April 23rd, 2014

The peninsula of Podagorsk had for a long time before the war, been a hot topic on international stability. The province, sharing history with the former superpower Greenforia, has been in turmoil ever since the war broke out.

On one side the pro-Greenforian separatists who welcomed the invasion from east and on the other – those who prefer their independence. Now that US forces have pushed the Greenforian army back they were forced to quickly leave the peninsula. Leaving equipment and vehicles in the hands of the separatists who are still carrying on the fight in the region.

With the retreat, a flame of hope was lit, making way for a new wave of independence fighters who have taken the up the battle against the separatists. They are however in a major disadvantage, facing a force with modern equipment and vehicles.
The US army decided to send in Dog Dompany to help the people of Podagorsk and create stability in the region.

Situation Oreokastro

Posted by on April 14th, 2014

DC forwardThis morning at 0245, AAF infantry platoons with motorized capabilities have been observed operating within and around the village of Oreokastro. The AAF was observed having standard small arms weapons, anti-tank launchers, and .50 caliber machine guns. They were observed conducting resupply missions within the AO. They are also expected to have numerous LP/OP positions, as well as a potential Combat Outpost (COP) to the SE of town. The AAF is expected to have very limited communication equipment and is wearing woodland-pattern utilities.

The AAF is capable of conducting advanced fire and maneuver tactics, with motorized support. They have extensive amounts of ammunition and are capable of sustaining engagements for long periods of time. They are known to be using land mines to hinder friendly movements.

The AAF is expected to maintain defensive positions within the village of Oreokastro.  Defensive patrols should be expected before, during, and after initial engagements.  Expect to find land mines located in strategic areas and approaches near Oreokastro, as well as roads.

Dog Company prepares to deploy to Oreokastro on Saturday April 19, 2014.

Dog Company: State of the Unit

Posted by on March 31st, 2014

1AZDHc3Over the last few months and the turn of the new year, Dog Company continues to grow and develop into a premier online community. We have sustained substantial growth within our membership, and members continue to show initiative and drive outside of missions; tackling administrative tasks that help Dog Company behind the scenes.

Activity has been through the roof. With the release of the new website, Dog Company has been provided with a stable platform from which to spring into the limelight of the online scene. We are gaining recognition from many communities interested in participating with Dog Company. The forums have been experiencing the most activity I have ever witnessed. Staff and members alike continue to dedicate their free time to furthering the development of our community. Lets not forget the players, who continue to turn up on a weekly basis and play a vital part in our organization.

As we grow, as a unit and community, we adapt. There are many projects that have been completed in recent weeks that have positively impacted our community. The most noticeable of which being the new website. Some other tools that were implemented recently have been the Mission Submission System, The Recruit Introduction Video,  the beautiful graphics you see all around, and the mods and scripts we utilize on a daily basis.

There are a number of remarkable individuals responsible for the quality of content being provided to the community. These individuals selflessly sacrifice some of their free time and energy to help this community grow and develop. We are always on the lookout for people who are willing and able to provide their skills and expertise in helping develop our community. Any act of involvement directed towards furthering the development of this community is greatly appreciated.

Remember, everything we achieve is a testament to the input and contribution from all of you. For those interested in lending their skills and abilities to the community, please post here.

PvP VS 25th ID

Posted by on March 21st, 2014

Dog Company will be competing against the 25th ID in a TvT match on Friday, March 28 starting at 8:00 pm EST. Relations with the 25th have been exceptional thus far and we intend to make this a ritual, potentially competing 1-2 times a month. The match will be played on a custom attack and defend type scenario the 25th have put together. It will take place on Zargabad in a close quarter, MOUT type of PvP operation. It should prove to be an intensely fun experience. I highly encourage everyone to begin preparing. We will be using a custom mod pack to replace our current DC Mod Pack for this specific event. Keep your eyes glued to the forums for when the DC PvP Mod Pack goes live.

All planning to participate should reply to this thread. <—CLICK ME

Situation Escalates On Capraia

Posted by on March 20th, 2014

Relations between the U.S. and the Iranian occupants of Capraia are detiriorating and as a result many believe that bloodshed is inevitable. Most of the local populace have fled in fear of an all out war in their front yard. The few that remain on the island maintain an optimistic outlook that this situation will resolve in a peaceful manner. The situation on Capraia continues to escalate with an increased military presence from its Iranian oppressors.
